Nick PylePresident Independent Bakers Association
Nick Pyle, President of the Independent Bakers Association, came to the position when he succeeded his father, Bob Pyle, in 2004. With nearly 40 years at the Association, he continues to advocate for independent wholesale, retail and institutional bakers on issues ranging from marketing to regulatory policy at all levels of government. Before transitioning to the manufacturing sector, Nick worked in international and domestic government affairs for the oil and gas industries.
Nick will give an educational session, “Untangling Today’s Regulatory ‘Red Tape'” for bakers and allied members. The session will touch on federal and state issues ranging from employment classification to food safety–with a specific focus on small business compliance. Throughout the session, attendees are encouraged to raise questions specific to their operation.
